Feverfew or Tanacetum parthenium has fairly small heads of 2 to 3 centimeters wide with yellow tubular and white ray flowers. This medium-high summer bloomer has an upright stem that branches strongly at the top of the inflorescence. The leaves are scattered on the stem; they are single to multipartially incised. The circumference of the leaves is quite broad and they have flat, broad serrated leaflets or linear leaflets only at the base. If you rub the leaves finely you get a strong chamomile scent, which even tends to be somewhat sour.
