Hans van Hooijdonk is a grower of the Rosehip in the Dutch province of North Brabant and describes what you can best do to keep this flower pretty in the vase for as lang as possible.
The Rosa (rosehip) is a seasonal product and a true eye-catcher in an autumn arrangement. Helianthus, Dahlia and Aster go well with the warm colours of the rosehip. When the rest of the flowers in the bouquet are already spent, the Rosa will still be in beautiful bloom in the vase. The branches of the Rosa keep for a long time and the hips stay at their best when stored in a cool environment. You can also dry the branches to make them last even longer. A tip for your customers: when throwing away the bouquet, keep the Rosa branches and divide them over small vases.
