Rijk de Jongh is founder and owner of a Ranunculus farm. The Ranunculus is an early bloomer and consequently a typical spring flower. The flower grows from wildly shaped tubers, which are also referred to as claws.
Avoid direct sunlight. The Ranunculus prefers the shade, therefore advise against placing in direct sunlight.
“We start with dibbling the small plants in the autumn; from October to the end of December,” says grower Rijk. The Ranunculus is not an easy flower to grow. Thanks to his years of experience growing the Ranunculus, Rijk knows precisely when the flowers have to be cut.
