The Scabiosa, also known as Grapefruit, is a purple flower from the honeysuckle family and is common in the wild.

The plant grows about 40 centimetres tall, has grey-green to mid-green leaves. The lower leaves are often lobed, and the higher leaves often pinnate. The flower has a charming and delicate appearance. The flowers usually have a round shape with a distinctive bulbous centre resembling a pom-pom.
