All about the Gladiolus

Gladioli are true summer classics. In July, they come down from the fields in bunches. This is the time to really show off Gladiolus, a symbol of strength and victory. A vase full of gladioli is always beautiful, but this flower also invites extravagant bouquets that you can barely hold. This will surprise your customers to the max.

L gladioli belong to the Nijmegen Four-Day Walk. Traditionally, this South African sword lily (or gladiolus) is a symbol of strength and survival. The Roman word gladio means 'sword' and in addition gladio is short for gladiator: the fighter, the survivor and the hero. The gladiolus is therefore ideally suited to add to the range around neighbourhood walking events.
