Make your own flower pumpkins

Want to know how to make flower pumpkins? Read the tips of Anneloes Demmers here. She is Content Lead at Bloemenbureau Holland and deals with floral trends on a daily basis.

“Use seasonal products and give your creativity free reign,” advises Anneloes Demmers. “For example, make flower pumpkins!” Not only do they look very autumnal, but they are also easy to make. Choose fresh autumn flowers and alternate with dried flowers. Flowers such as Callicarpa, Craspedia and Hypericum are perfect. Cut the flowers so that you are left with just the flower at the end. Stick a pin through the flower and poke it through the pumpkin. Continue doing this to decorate the pumpkin in your own way!

The '365 days of flowers' campaign is an initiative of the promotion committee 365 days of flowers, part of Royal FloraHolland. Over 1,800 growers from 15 different countries make this possible. They grow over 150 different flowers, which are promoted throughout the year based on Royal FloraHolland's availability dates. The objective of the '365 days of flowers' campaign is to jointly develop sales opportunities for florists.
